Bosch, Siemens and Schneider Electric Fresher Interview Process in India: Same Company, Different Test
Bosch, Siemens and Schneider Electric campus drives as candidates and prep sites describe them: online tests, cut-offs, funnel sizes, interviews, and where sources disagree.

For students whose placement cell has Bosch, Siemens or Schneider Electric on the calendar, mostly ECE, EEE, mechanical and CS branches. If a drive collides with a service-company test, multiple placement drives covers how to split your time.
TL;DR: I read two FACE Prep guides each on Bosch and Siemens, two GeeksforGeeks posts on Bosch, one FreshersNow post on Siemens and one GeeksforGeeks post on Schneider Electric. All three follow the same shape: an online test, a technical interview, then HR. The details differ so much between sources that I won't give you a single "Bosch test pattern". Bosch hires through separate entities, and Siemens' own prep guides contradict each other. Everything here is third-party. The Bosch and Siemens careers pages I opened describe no rounds, and I couldn't read anything official from Schneider.
These are the core-engineering names that show up when electronics and electrical students look for jobs, so they sit apart from the software-first lists I've covered, like KPIT, Tata Elxsi and LTTS or Dell and HPE. Funnels are small: out of hundreds who sit the test, a few dozen reach HR.

Bosch: three entities, so ask which one
A FACE Prep guide (August 2026) splits Bosch hiring into Bosch Limited (core trainee roles), Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW, software and R&D) and Rexroth. Its process is application screening, a written test, then technical and personal interviews. It says the test comes in two reported shapes, about 60 minutes of MCQs or 100 to 120 minutes with coding, and that neither is officially confirmed.
- FACE Prep, May 2026 (BGSW): about 60 questions in 60 minutes with 0.25 negative marking. Sections are quant (15), verbal (15), technical (20) and, for CSE only, coding (10). Technical interview 30 to 45 minutes.
- GeeksforGeeks, ECE/CS/IT campus (page updated July 2025, drive year not stated): 50 MCQs in 60 minutes, plus a separate coding round of 3 to 4 questions for CS and IT. 382 students sat the test and 78 were shortlisted. The technical interview ran 1 hour 15 minutes and HR 30 minutes.
- GeeksforGeeks, RBEI on-campus (2021 update): on HirePro with 25% negative marking. Technical 35 questions in 35 minutes, aptitude 25 in 25 minutes, coding 2 questions in 30 minutes, described as basic.
Siemens: the guides don't agree with each other
- FACE Prep four-round guide (May 2026): a technical test of 30 questions in 30 minutes (C only), an aptitude test of 24 questions in 18 minutes, then a technical interview, then HR. Eligibility given: 7.5 CGPA, 60% in 10th and 12th, no backlogs. It says to expect to write code on paper in the interview.
- FACE Prep three-round guide (same month): one combined online test with quant, analytical reasoning, verbal and technical sections, no negative marking, then a 45 to 60 minute technical interview (one or two rounds), no group discussion.
- FreshersNow, graduate engineer trainee drive (posted December 2024): 31 MCQs in one hour covering aptitude, logic, CS fundamentals and C++/Java snippets. 200 registered and 50 cleared. Technical 1 ran 45 minutes with puzzles, 13 to 14 went to technical 2, then HR.
Two guides from one site, one month apart, describe four rounds in one and three in the other. That alone tells you to treat any Siemens "pattern" as a guess until your college's drive mail arrives.
Schneider Electric: one post, short and honest
I could open one candidate report (GeeksforGeeks, September 2024). Round 1 was technical MCQs plus a gamified round. More than 2,000 took it and 280 advanced. The technical interview was about 30 minutes (projects, SQL, DBMS, OS) and 40 reached HR, which ran about 20 minutes. All 40 were selected. It gives no test duration or cut-off. I saw a 2022 Vadodara account in search results that lists an online test, technical and HR, but I didn't open it, so I'm not relying on it.
Where the sources disagree
- Cut-off. Bosch is 70% or 7.0 CGPA in one source and 60/65% in another. Siemens' 7.5 CGPA appears in one guide only.
- Test length and shape. Bosch ranges from 50 questions to a 100 to 120 minute test with coding. Siemens ranges from 30 plus 18 minutes to a single 60 minute test.
- Negative marking. Bosch is 0.25 on aptitude only in one FACE Prep piece, on all sections in another, and 25% in the candidate post. Siemens is none in one guide and unspecified in others.
- Coding. Reported for CS and IT branches at Bosch, absent or only C-based at Siemens. Your branch decides this more than the company does.
I also couldn't find a recent Honeywell account I could read in full. The one I opened described a December 2018 drive and gave no durations or cut-offs, so I left it out.
What to do with this
- Find out which entity and which role. Bosch Limited, BGSW and Rexroth are different drives. The mail from your placement cell will name one.
- Revise your core branch, not only DSA. The Siemens technical tests and interviews lean on C and fundamentals, and the Bosch and Schneider interviews reported SQL, DBMS, OS and project questions.
- Practise MCQs against a timer. One Bosch breakdown has 35 technical questions in 35 minutes. Negative marking is reported in some sources and not others, so don't guess blindly until you know.
- Prepare for paper or whiteboard code. One Siemens guide says you write code on paper. Know C syntax without an IDE.
- Be ready to explain your projects. The Schneider and Bosch interview reports both start from the resume and projects.
- Check what your drive allows. Many college tests are proctored, so read the rules in your invite. Where a tool is permitted for online assessments, OA Copilot, which covers online assessments on HackerRank and CodeSignal style platforms, can help with the coding section, and AceRound's Interview Copilot gives you structured talking points during live technical and HR video interviews. Whether either is allowed is up to your drive's rules, not us. For platform context see CoCubes and AMCAT and eLitmus.
FAQ
What is the Bosch campus recruitment process for freshers in India?
Application screening, a written online test, a technical interview and an HR or personal interview, according to the pieces I read. The hiring entity (Bosch Limited, BGSW or Rexroth) changes the roles and reportedly the test.
What CGPA does Bosch require for campus placement?
It depends on the source. One candidate post says 70% throughout or 7.0 CGPA with no backlogs, and one prep guide says 60% in 10th and 12th with 65% in graduation. Check your drive notice.
What is in the Siemens online test for freshers?
Reports range from a 30-question C test plus a 24-question aptitude test, to one combined test with four sections, to 31 MCQs in an hour.
Is there a gamified round in the Schneider Electric fresher process?
In the one 2024 candidate post I could open, yes: technical MCQs plus a gamified round. It doesn't say what the game is.
Does Bosch have coding in its online test?
For CS and IT branches in several reports, with 2 to 10 questions depending on the source. Other branches reportedly don't get a coding section.
