Quick Start Guide
👋 Welcome to AceRound AI. This page takes you from a new account to a working copilot.
1. Create Your Account
Sign in with an email verification code, Google, or GitHub. Your account starts with 30 minutes of real-time interview assistance, 1 mock interview and 2 question predictions — no card required.
2. Add Your Résumé and Target Role
Open My Resources in the sidebar and fill in three things:
- Résumé — upload a PDF (up to 10 MB). The copilot uses it to ground answers in your actual experience.
- Job Position — the role title, company, and the job description. AceRound reads the description to bias its answers toward what this employer is hiring for.
- Keywords (optional) — company names, product names and technical terms that speech recognition would otherwise mishear. AceRound can generate a list from the job description for you.
You can also build a Knowledge Base here — prepared answers, project notes, uploaded documents — and select it when you start an interview. See Question Predictions & Knowledge Base.
3. Choose How to Run It
| Browser | Desktop client | |
|---|---|---|
| Install required | No | Yes (Windows / macOS) |
| Live interview assistance | ✅ | ✅ |
| Answer layer hidden from screen sharing | — | ✅ |
| OA Copilot | — | ✅ |
| Phone interviews | ✅ | — |
| Audio setup | Share the interview tab each session | Captures system audio directly |
Trying AceRound for the first time? The browser works with no install. Going into a real interview or an online assessment? Use the desktop client.
4. Do a Free Trial Run
On the interview setup screen, tick Free Trial (5 minutes). It runs the full pipeline — audio capture, recognition, answers — without touching your balance, so you can confirm the copilot hears the question before it matters. One trial every 20 minutes.
📌 Recommended Setups
Pick a quiet room whichever setup you use.
Computer interview + computer assistance
- Best for: interviews without screen sharing, or a multi-monitor desk.
- Recommended for most interviews, especially with the desktop client, whose answer layer does not appear in screen shares or recordings.
Computer interview + phone or tablet assistance
- Best for: maximum separation — the answers live on a device the interviewer's software cannot see at all.
- Note: a smaller screen means less text at a glance.
Phone interview + phone assistance
- Best for: recruiter screens and other non-technical calls. Two phones works best.
- Put the call on speaker next to your computer and pick Phone Interview as the interview method. Requires a one-time voiceprint enrollment so the copilot can tell your voice from the interviewer's.
