Cisco and Intuit Fresher Interview Process in India: Official vs Reported
Cisco's own Code with Cisco page, a third-party guide and one Intuit SDE-1 account differ on rounds and timing. What each says, and how to prep.

For anyone with a Cisco or Intuit test link in the inbox, or a campus notice that lists either. If several drives land in the same fortnight, multiple placement drives is about how to split your time.
TL;DR: Cisco is the one of the two with a primary source: the Code with Cisco page on Cisco's careers site describes a 90-minute, AI-proctored test with no negative marking and four virtual interview rounds, for India-based students graduating in 2027. A training site, FACE Prep, adds a question mix and a CGPA norm that Cisco's page doesn't confirm. Intuit has only one first-hand account I could open, and it is from a 2021-22 off-campus cycle, so I use it for the shape of the interviews, not the current process.
I first looked at Adobe India too. The Glassdoor reviews I found came back blocked when I tried to open them, and the only Adobe write-up I could verify was a 2021 internship post. That isn't enough to write a fresher guide on, so Adobe is out of this post.
Cisco: what the company itself says
The Code with Cisco page is the only Cisco-authored thing I read. These are its claims, close to word for word:
- Who: open to all degree programmes and branches, for candidates based in India passing out in 2027, with no backlogs. The page says there are no barriers based on CGPA, specialization or location.
- How you get in: eligible final-year students from specific universities register through their placement cell. Registration is individual; Cisco forms teams itself.
- The test: 90 minutes with a 30-minute login window, a combination of multiple-choice questions and coding challenges, no negative marking, and no rescheduling.
- Proctoring: remote, with AI-based monitoring and video proctoring. Any malpractice or plagiarism flag leads to disqualification.
- After the test: top performers are invited to a two-day in-person code-a-thon at Cisco's Bengaluru campus (travel, stay and food covered), and the page says interviews are virtual with four rounds.
The page's dates are for the 2026 cycle: registration from 1 June, the test from 25 June, the code-a-thon on 16-17 July 2026. That cycle is over. I'd read it as how Cisco ran this programme last time, and wait for the next announcement before assuming the same calendar.
Cisco: what the third-party guide adds
FACE Prep's August 2026 guide describes four stages: eligibility check, online test, one or two technical interviews, then a managerial and HR round. Where it overlaps with Cisco's page (90 minutes, no negative marking, AI proctoring) it agrees. Where it goes further, it is relaying candidate accounts, and it says so:
- about 40 MCQs and 2 DSA problems in the test, with the MCQs leaning toward computer networks (OSI and TCP/IP, TCP vs UDP, subnetting, DNS and HTTP flows) plus OS, DBMS and OOP,
- coding at roughly LeetCode medium, graph and DP problems mentioned,
- 20-40 minutes of each technical round on your own projects,
- a managerial round that settles location and joining date, since most India engineering roles are in Bengaluru.
On eligibility the two sources differ. FACE Prep says regular campus drives often list CSE, IT and ECE with a 7.0 CGPA cut-off, "varying by posting", and says that doesn't apply to Code with Cisco. That is consistent with Cisco's page, since the page is about one programme only. If your campus drive is not the code-a-thon, the posting your placement cell circulates is the only rule that counts.
Intuit: one candidate, one cycle
The Roundz write-up is a first-hand SDE-1 account from Bangalore, published in August 2025. The body says the candidate applied via a Google form in September 2021, got the test link in January 2022, was waitlisted, reactivated in March 2022, interviewed in April and May 2022 and got the offer. Three rounds:
- Online test, 90 minutes, Glider platform. Four coding questions: one easy, two medium, one hard. The candidate solved three fully and one with a single failing test case. Results came in 4-5 days.
- First technical, 30 minutes, one interviewer. OOP (polymorphism, inheritance), deadlocks, a resume project, then a "Decode String"-style problem with two example inputs and outputs. They found a bug through a dry run with the interviewer.
- Second technical, 60 minutes, two interviewers. Search a target in a sorted matrix (brute force first, then from the top-right corner), a data structure with insert, delete and random element in O(1), then indexing, ACID and compile-time vs runtime polymorphism, then a project deep dive.
The candidate's own advice is the useful part: dry-run every program you write, don't assume the question is one you've seen, and talk through your thinking whether or not the approach is right.
One account from a 2021-22 off-campus cycle can't tell you what an Intuit campus drive looks like this year. Round count, platform and timing may all have changed.
What Cisco and Intuit share

- A timed test with coding in it. Cisco mixes MCQs and coding in 90 minutes; the Intuit test was four coding problems in 90 minutes. In both, how you split the time matters.
- Talking while you code. Intuit's candidate was told to explain out loud; FACE Prep says Cisco probes whether you understand projects at system level.
- Your own projects. Both describe a good share of interview time on resume projects. If you can't explain a project, drop it from the CV.
- Fundamentals. OOP, OS, DBMS appear in both.
How to prep
Cisco: networks first. If FACE Prep's account of the MCQs is right, networking is where this test differs from a typical IT-services drive. Spend a few evenings on TCP vs UDP, subnetting arithmetic, and what happens between typing a URL and the page loading. Because there is no negative marking, don't leave an MCQ blank.
Both: a 90-minute rehearsal. For Cisco, do about 40 quick MCQs plus two coding problems. For Intuit, four coding problems from easy to hard. In both, read everything first and bank the problems you can finish.
Dry-run aloud. Take a medium problem, write it, then trace it on a sample input while speaking. This is what Intuit's candidate credits for catching a bug mid-interview.
Project walkthrough. For each project on your CV, prepare the architecture, one decision you'd reverse, and one number.
For the timed test, OA Copilot is built for online assessments on platforms like HackerRank, CodeSignal and Codility. Cisco's page states that its test is AI-proctored and that malpractice flags disqualify, and Intuit's was on Glider, so read the rules on your own invite before deciding what to use. For the live rounds, a mock interview where you narrate a solution and then defend a project is closer to what both accounts describe than another solo problem set.

Pay
I'm not stating a Cisco or Intuit fresher number as fact. The only Cisco figure is FACE Prep relaying an aggregator (about 18-20 LPA CTC, 17-25 LPA across teams and years), and the Intuit account has none. Cisco's package, per that guide, can include base, bonus, RSUs vesting over years and a joining bonus, so ask HR for each separately, and read the CTC structure guide before you compare it with another offer.
FAQ
What is the Cisco online assessment for freshers in India?
Cisco's Code with Cisco page says 90 minutes, MCQs plus coding, no negative marking, AI and video proctored. The ~40 MCQs and 2 DSA problems split is from a third-party guide, not Cisco.
How many interview rounds does Cisco have for freshers?
Cisco's page says four virtual rounds. FACE Prep describes one or two technical interviews plus managerial and HR, which can total four. Your invite is the schedule.
Do I need a CGPA cut-off for Cisco?
For Code with Cisco, the page says no CGPA barrier, for 2027 graduates in India with no backlogs. FACE Prep says regular drives often list 7.0, varying by posting.
What was the Intuit SDE-1 off-campus process like?
One account: a 90-minute Glider test with four coding questions, then 30-minute and 60-minute technical interviews. It dates from 2021-22.
Is the Cisco or Intuit fresher salary public?
Not in a form I'd quote. Ask for the written split of fixed pay, bonus and stock.
