LockedIn AI Review 2026: Pricing, Refunds, Is It Worth It?
LockedIn AI review: $69.99 Credits and $139.99 Unlimited plans on 4 Nov 2026, what the free plan covers, the no-refund rule and a hidden Trustpilot score.

TL;DR: LockedIn AI is a real, actively developed interview copilot. On 4 November 2026 its cheapest paid plan was $69.99 a month for 400 minutes, and the no-limit plan was $139.99. Three-month billing brings those down to about $150 and $240 per charge. The free plan exists, but every session stops after 5 minutes. The bigger issue is the money after you pay: monthly and three-month plans can't be refunded once they start, and its Trustpilot rating is hidden for a guidelines breach. It's worth it for a long, busy search. For a few weeks of interviews, a one-time pass like AceRound's $39.90 Monthly Pass covers the live part for less, and nothing renews.
Most people who search for a LockedIn AI review have already seen the ads and the "50% off" banner. What they want to know is what they'll actually pay, what happens if it doesn't suit them, and whether the reviews can be trusted. So this review covers the money first and the product second.
What I checked: LockedIn AI's homepage, pricing page, refund policy (last updated 14 October 2026) and its plans and billing docs, all read on 4 November 2026 from a US connection while signed out, plus its Trustpilot profile the same day. Numbers that come from LockedIn AI itself are labelled as theirs.
What LockedIn AI is in late 2026
LockedIn AI is sold by Cyber Gravity LLC, a US company that does business as LockedIn AI, with a New York address on its Trustpilot profile. The core product is a desktop app for Windows 10+ and macOS 13.1+ that listens to your interview and streams answers as the interviewer is still asking. The homepage also lists:
- Coding Copilot. It breaks down algorithm problems and helps with follow-ups and debugging.
- Online assessments. "Works across HireVue, CodeSignal, HackerRank, and more."
- Phone interviews. A phone app you prop next to your laptop, so nothing shows on the shared screen.
- Mock interviews with a score report afterwards.
- LockedIn Duo. A person you invite sees your screen, hears the interview audio and sends you tips. With your permission they can also control your screen.
- Predict (beta) for likely company questions, and an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.
It lists Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, GoTo, Zoho and Livestorm as supported. The homepage claims 1M+ users, 50+ languages, a 116 ms average speed and "4.8 · 2,739 reviews". Those are the company's own figures, and it doesn't say where the 4.8 comes from. That matters later.
One thing is new since most reviews you'll find were written: the plan lineup. The pricing page now shows Credits, Unlimited and Lifetime. Its docs still describe older plans called General and Pro, and the difference matters: according to the docs, Stealth Mode is not included in General. If you are offered a "General" plan anywhere, check before you pay.
LockedIn AI pricing, as listed on 4 November 2026
The pricing page loads with a code, LOCKIN50, already applied. Every price below includes that discount. The "regular price" next to each plan is what the page compares against.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed every 3 months | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | — | 5-minute sessions, up to 60 minutes a day, 1-minute pause between them |
| Credits | $69.99/month (regular $139.98) | $49.99/month, about $150 per charge | 400 minutes a month (1,200 per 3 months). Mock practice counts half |
| Unlimited | $139.99/month (regular $279.98) | $79.99/month, about $240 per charge | No meter |
| Lifetime | — | $999.50 once (regular $1,999) | Unlimited, every future feature |
A few details from the page and the docs that are easy to miss:
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same billing interval until you cancel. Lifetime is a single payment.
- Credits never expire, even after a subscription ends. Without an active subscription, though, they only work with the "general" AI models. The "professional" models need a paid plan.
- One credit is two minutes. The sidebar shows minutes, the billing page talks about credits, and they are the same balance.
- Sessions have a maximum length. On paid plans a session is ended after 120 minutes, or 60 for a mock interview. Free sessions stop at 5 minutes.
- The phone apps cost more. Apple and Google's commission is added to in-app prices.
- There's a 10% category discount for students, military veterans, first responders and recently laid-off people. You have to contact support with proof before you pay. It applies to one invoice, not to renewals, and can't be stacked with another code.
This list moves. On 20 October 2026 the same page showed $54.99 a month (as 50% off $109.98) and $39.99 a month on three-month billing. Two weeks later the plan names and prices were different. Treat any LockedIn AI price you read, including these, as a snapshot, and screenshot the checkout before you pay.

What it costs for an actual job search
The useful question is not the monthly price but how long you'll be interviewing. Most active searches I see run four to twelve weeks:
| Your search | LockedIn AI, cheapest listed way | AceRound AI (US, one-time) |
|---|---|---|
| One interview next week | Free 5-minute sessions, or $69.99 (Credits, monthly) | Free 30 minutes, or $9.90 Starter Pack (60 minutes) |
| About 4 weeks | $69.99 (400 minutes) | $39.90 Monthly Pass |
| About 12 weeks | About $150 (Credits, 3-month) or $240 (Unlimited, 3-month) | $69.90 Season Pass (90 days) |
| Longer than a year | $999.50 Lifetime | Passes as needed; nothing renews |
400 minutes is about eight 45-minute rounds, which is plenty for most months. If you also want to practise with mock interviews, those count at half rate, so the Credits plan covers more than it looks.
Is LockedIn AI free?
There is a free plan, and LockedIn AI's docs describe it plainly: each free session ends after 5 minutes, you get up to 60 free minutes a day, and you wait 1 minute between sessions. No credit card is needed to start.
That's enough to see what the answers look like. It's not enough to get through a real interview, where the app would cut out every five minutes. Its docs also list Stealth Mode only on paid plans. So on the free plan you can't check how it behaves during a screen share, and that's usually the main thing people want to test.
The refund policy, plan by plan
This is where most of the angry reviews come from. LockedIn AI's refund policy was last updated on 14 October 2026, and it is stricter than the "Money-back guarantee" badge on the pricing page suggests. (The asterisk on that badge only mentions Lifetime plans.)

- Monthly and three-month subscriptions: non-refundable once started. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the cycle, "but no refunds or prorated credits."
- Annual subscriptions: partial refund only if cancelled within 7 days of purchase.
- Lifetime: full refund within 7 days, but only if you haven't started a session. After your first session, it's final.
- Billing mistakes (a duplicate charge, no access after paying, or a charge after you cancelled) are reviewed if you contact support within 7 days. For a charge after cancelling, you need the cancellation confirmation email.
- Outages at LockedIn's AI providers don't qualify. They may give credits as a goodwill gesture.
- App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's rules.
- Requests go to support by email. Review takes up to 7 business days, then 5 to 10 business days to reach your card.
The policy repeatedly tells you to "use our free trial before purchasing". But the free plan's 5-minute sessions can't show you a full interview or Stealth Mode. In practice, you find out whether it suits you after you've paid for the month.
How to cancel
Cancelling is only in the web app, not the desktop app: sign in at app.lockedinai.com, click your avatar, open Billing & Plans, and under Manage Membership choose Cancel subscription. If you subscribed through the iPhone or Android app, cancel in the App Store or Google Play instead. Do it any time before the renewal date. Your access runs to the end of the period you paid for, so there's no reason to wait.
What reviewers say, and why the score is missing
On 4 November 2026 LockedIn AI's Trustpilot page didn't show a star rating. Instead it showed a warning: "This company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines", and under it, "We've removed a number of fake reviews for this company." That's Trustpilot's wording, not mine.
The 120 reviews still visible (61 from the last 12 months) split like this:
| Stars | Share |
|---|---|
| 5 | 65% |
| 4 | 7% |
| 3 | 4% |
| 2 | under 1% |
| 1 | 23% |
As with most tools in this category, people either liked it or felt burned. Keep the warning in mind next to the "4.8 · 2,739 reviews" figure on LockedIn AI's own homepage, which doesn't say where it comes from.
The praise is about speed and prep. A US reviewer in late October liked that it predicted the interview flow and built a Q&A list from their resume and the job description. Others say answers come quickly, that it worked on Teams while sharing a screen for a coding round, and that support was helpful.
The complaints are mostly about money and cancelling:
- Refunds after short use. A Canadian reviewer in September says they used it for 10 minutes, weren't satisfied, and were told that made them ineligible for a refund. They went to their bank for a chargeback.
- Renewals and cancelling. A July reviewer says they were renewed with no warning and couldn't find a working cancel button. In August, a UK reviewer wrote that the cancel instructions in the docs were out of date. LockedIn replied that it had passed that on to the team.
- Getting a refund took persistence. A verified US reviewer in June says it took "11 emails and 1 bad trustpilot review" before the refund was granted.
- Stealth setup. A reviewer in August says Stealth Mode only worked when the app was launched from a specific desktop icon rather than the Start menu, and that support explained this.
LockedIn AI replies to most of these publicly and asks people to email support. Reviews are anecdotes, not a test. But the same pattern repeats across different countries and months: the complaints are about billing, not the quality of the answers.
Stealth Mode and "undetectable"
LockedIn's Stealth Mode hides the app from screen sharing, the taskbar and window switchers on supported desktop apps. The pricing page adds a footnote you should read: it "cannot guarantee undetectability on every platform." That's more honest than many competitors manage.
What no tool controls is everything outside the window: an interviewer noticing you read before you speak, a follow-up the suggested answer can't survive, monitoring software on a company laptop, or a proctored assessment watching your camera. More on that in can AI be detected in job interviews.
Duo deserves a separate note. It brings a second person into your interview, who sees your screen and can control it if you allow it. Many employers' interview and assessment rules forbid outside help from another person outright, separately from any rule about AI. Check the rules for your process before you use it.
LockedIn AI vs Final Round AI
These two come up together in searches more than any other pair. I reviewed Final Round AI two days earlier, so here are the two side by side as listed in early November 2026:
| LockedIn AI (4 Nov 2026) | Final Round AI (2 Nov 2026) | |
|---|---|---|
| One month | $69.99 (400 min) or $139.99 unlimited | $150 |
| Three months | About $150 (1,200 min) or about $240 unlimited | About $250 |
| Year / long term | $999.50 Lifetime (no annual plan on the page) | About $300 annual |
| Free plan | 5-minute sessions, up to 60 min a day | Free plan with no live help |
| Refund | None once a monthly or 3-month plan starts | 72 hours, once per customer, void after two sessions over 30 minutes |
| Trustpilot (same week) | Rating hidden (guidelines breach), 120 reviews | 2.8 / 5 from 280 reviews |
| Stand-out extra | Duo (a human helper), phone app | Goals and eight practice scenarios |
LockedIn AI is cheaper for a month or a quarter. Final Round AI is cheaper over a full year, and its 72-hour refund window is a real safety net that LockedIn's monthly plans don't offer. If you're comparing the two because you only need live answers for a few weeks, neither is the cheapest way to get that.
Where LockedIn AI is genuinely strong
To be fair to it:
- It's priced lower than Final Round AI for a month or a quarter, and the Credits plan covers a normal month of interviews.
- Credits don't expire, so a quiet month doesn't waste what you paid for.
- It covers a lot of situations: desktop, phone-only interviews, online assessments on HireVue, CodeSignal and HackerRank, and mock practice in the same account.
- The docs are unusually clear about session limits, credits and how to cancel. Read them before you buy.
Is LockedIn AI worth it?
Probably worth it if:
- You'll be interviewing steadily for three months or more and will use the 1,200-minute Credits plan or Unlimited.
- You want its extras, such as the phone app, Duo or Predict, and you've checked your employer's rules on them.
- You qualify for the 10% category discount and can get it applied before you pay.
Probably not worth it if:
- You have one interview, or a few weeks of interviews. The cheapest paid way in is $69.99, and it isn't refundable once it starts.
- You want to test the stealth window in your real setup before paying. The free plan doesn't include it.
- You've had trouble cancelling subscriptions before. Put the renewal date in your calendar the day you subscribe.
If you only need the live part: AceRound AI
I'll be direct about the alternative I'd point most people to, because it's the one I know best. AceRound AI does the core job: a native desktop app for Windows 10 (version 2004+) and macOS 13+. It transcribes the interviewer and shows a suggested answer in a window that stays out of screen sharing, recordings and screenshots. Its OA Copilot covers online assessments on HackerRank, CodeSignal and Codility, using the same minutes.
The difference is how you pay. AceRound sells passes that end on their own. In the US: $39.90 for 30 days, $69.90 for 90 days, $24.90 for a week, or a $9.90 Starter Pack (60 minutes) for a single interview. Nothing renews, so there's nothing to cancel. A new account gets 30 minutes of live help and one mock interview with no card, in sessions that aren't cut off at five minutes. That's enough to check it with your own meeting app and screen-share setup. It isn't enough for a full 45-minute round.
What it doesn't have is Duo, a phone-only mode or a lifetime plan. If those are what you're paying LockedIn for, stay. If you're paying $69.99 a month for the live window, try AceRound's free 30 minutes first and compare.

Before you pay for any interview copilot
- Test it in your real setup. Same laptop, meeting app, microphone and screen-share mode, a day before, not ten minutes before.
- Price your search, not the month. Multiply by how many weeks you'll actually be interviewing.
- Read the refund policy, not the badge. "Money-back guarantee" on a pricing page and the written policy don't always say the same thing.
- Know where the cancel button is before you enter a card, and put the renewal date in your calendar.
- Say answers in your own words. Read a suggestion word for word and the first follow-up will catch you. Use it to stop yourself going blank, not as a script.
